What official Oracle Database certification tracks are available?

There are 5 levels of Oracle Certification credentials:
Oracle Certified Associate (OCA):

Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
It credential builds upon the fundamental skills demonstrated by the OCA. The Oracle Certified Professional has a command of a specific area of Oracle technology and demonstrates a high level of knowledge and skills.It enables the candidate to install,maintain and other things for large critical database in the orginazation.it is a highly valued certification for database administrator

Oracle Certified Master (OCM)
This credential recognizes the highest level of Oracle technology skills. OCMs are equipped to solve the most tough problems.This is followed by OCA and OCP. This certification is given to candidate after passing through rigorous performance-based exams. . These are the most senior IT folks in the orginization which handles the mission critical database. They are expert in performance tuning,troubleshooting ,implementation. This is a top notch certification
Oracle Certified Expert (OCE)
This credentials recognize competency in specific, niche oriented technologies, architectures or domains. Credentials are independent of the traditional OCA, OCP, OCM hierarchy, but often build upon skills proven as an OCA or OCP.
Oracle Certified Specialist (OCS).
This credentials are typically implementation-oriented certifications targeting employees of current Oracle partners, though the certifications are available to all candidates, partner or not. These certifications are built on very focused products or skillsets and provide a solid measure of a candidate’s level of expertise in a particular area.

What are the certification path for Oracle OCP?

12c track :
Prerequisite:
You must hold Oracle Certified Associate
Database 12c Administrator Required Training: Complete one approved training course
Required Exam: Pass the Oracle Database 12c: Advanced Administration 1Z0-063
Last, you must submit the Course Requirement Confirmation Form.

11g track:
Prerequisite:
You must hold Oracle Certified Associate
– Database 11g Administrator Required Training: Complete one approved training course
Required Exam: Oracle Database Administration II 1Z0-083
Last, you must submit the Course Requirement Confirmation Form.

Which version of the database should I certify against?

It must be on the version you are version or you aspire to.
Most of the guys go for the latest version ,as they plan to upgrade the database to it

How to prepare for the Oracle certification examination.

(1) First go through all the manual. Create a revision sheet of sort for yourself
(2) Practice the things on Oracle database env.
(3) Practice the test paper and questions available om internet

What are the format of the certification exams?

The exams are multiple choice questions typically have 60-70 questions to be answered in 90 minutes or others depending on the exam

How to give the certificate examination?

Examination can be either given at Oracle test center or Pearson VUE Authorized Test Center. You can get the Voucher from Oracle university and go to Pearson VUE to fix the test center. or you can go to authorized Oracle center and give the examination

HOW TO REGISTER FOR YOUR OCI CERTIFICATION EXAM
(1) Go to https://www.pearsonvue.com/oracle
(2) Click Sign In under Oracle on top right.
(3) Use your Pearson VUE username and password to log in.
(4) Click Proctored Exam.
(5) Type the name of the exam you have chosen and click Go.
(6) Select how you want to take the exam and follow the prompts.
